Privacy policy — Publik.vote

Information we collect

Depending on which Publik.vote features you use, we may collect: account information (for example the phone number or email address used for verification and sign-in), the content you submit in the application, and technical data (device model, operating system, language, device identifiers, IP address).

Aggregated or de-identified usage data may be produced for statistics and service improvement; it cannot be used to identify you.

How we use information

We use this information to: provide and operate the service; create and verify accounts; prevent fraud and abuse; provide user support; improve the application; and comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

Legal bases

Depending on your jurisdiction, our processing relies on: the performance of our contract with you (providing the service), your consent, compliance with our legal obligations, and our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, service improvement).

Sharing and processors

We share your information only with the providers required to operate the service: cloud hosting, verification message delivery (SMS or email), payment processing where applicable, and privacy-respecting measurement tools.

These providers process data on our behalf, under our instructions and data-protection agreements. We may also disclose information where the law requires it or to protect our rights, our users or the public.

Retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then delete or de-identify it. Some data may be kept longer where the law requires it (for example accounting or tax obligations).

Your rights

You may request access to your personal information, its correction, deletion or portability, and withdraw your consent at any time. These rights apply in accordance with applicable laws, including Québec's Law 25, the GDPR (European Union) and the CCPA (California).

To exercise your rights or delete your account, write to us at info@foliosystems.ca and mention the Publik.vote application. You may also lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority of your jurisdiction.

Security

We apply technical and organizational security measures proportionate to the sensitivity of the information: encryption in transit, access control, logging and environment isolation.

Children's privacy

Publik.vote is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age set by your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us so it can be deleted.

International transfers

Our servers may be located outside your province or country. When information is transferred, we ensure it receives protection equivalent to what applicable laws require.

Changes

We may update this policy. In case of significant change, we will inform you through appropriate means (in-app notice or on this page). The last-updated date appears at the top of the policy.
